    PRESENTING COMPLAINTS:   A 65 yr old female presented with complaints of inability to open eyes since 1 day   HISTORY OF PRESENTING ILLNESS:   The patient was apparently asymptomatic 1 day back when she developed an inability to open both her eyes which was sudden in onset and static in progression, associated with blurring of vision. Not associated with  diurnal variation,  loss of consciousness, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations. These disorders are an umbrella term for a spectrum of diseases that can cause symptoms ranging from mood disturbances to dementia, involuntary movements, and cognitive decline that affect daily life. The lack of clear criteria for defining neurodegenerative disorders means that there is a wide variety of etiologies and pathophysiology to understand the clinical, pathological, molecular pathways, and therapeutic targets in management. This creates a broad scope for future research and treatment advancements. This can make it challenging to diagnose and treat these diseases effectively.
